Last year the deconstruction of the ‘Palast der Republik’ (the GDR governmental headquarters) was started without having a concept of financing the plan of rebuilding the medieval citycastle. According to abriss-berlin.de this is just the beginning, many other famous buildings like the International Congress Centre and the East Side Gallery have to face a similar future.
Abriss-berlin.de wants to connect all the initiatives against the demolition of several buildings and shows a map of berlin with all endangered buildings.

Hi,
but what is the plan for those buildings. You can not leave all them till they become ruins. What is your urban design plan?

At the moment most of them are still in use. For the ‘Palast der Republik’ for example there have been many plans describing how the building could be used in future without deconstructing it:
